1. Preamble

E.A. David Perera and Sons is a heritage institution dedicated to the art of horology, ceremonial gifting, and refined retail service. These Terms of Service govern all engagements—commercial, ceremonial, and consultative—with our establishment. By entering into service or purchase agreements with us, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined herein.

2. Scope of Services

Our offerings include, but are not limited to:

  • Horological Services: Precision watch repairs, vintage restorations, battery replacements, strap fittings, and bespoke servicing.
  • Retail & Heritage Sales: Curated timepieces, ceremonial collections, and heritage accessories.
  • Ceremonial Gifting & Signing: Custom watch presentation for weddings, retirements, and cultural milestones.
  • Consultation & Appraisal: Expert evaluation of timepieces and guidance on heritage preservation.

3. Client Obligations

Clients engaging with our services are expected to:

  • Provide accurate personal and transactional information.
  • Submit only authentic and legally owned timepieces for service.
  • Review and approve service estimates prior to commencement.

4. Pricing & Payment Terms

  • All prices are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
  • Payment is due upon completion of service or at the point of sale.
  • Custom orders and ceremonial packages may require advance deposits.
  • E.A. David Perera and Sons reserves the right to revise pricing in accordance with market conditions and craftsmanship requirements.

5. Returns, Refunds & Warranty

  • Retail Purchases: Returns accepted within 7 days of purchase, provided items are unworn and in original condition.
  • Servicing: A 30-day warranty applies to workmanship. Diagnostic fees are non-refundable.
  • Ceremonial Items: Personalized or engraved items are non-returnable and non-refundable.

6. Intellectual Property

All brand assets—including logos, service descriptions, and historical archives—are the intellectual property of E.A. David Perera and Sons. Reproduction or unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

7. Privacy & Confidentiality

Client information is treated with utmost discretion. Data is used solely for service delivery, ceremonial coordination, and internal recordkeeping. We do not share personal information with third parties without explicit consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

E.A. David Perera and Sons shall not be held liable for:

  • Damages resulting from client mishandling post-service.
  • Delays due to ceremonial scheduling, natural events, or force majeure.
  • Losses exceeding the declared value of the item or service rendered.

9. Amendments

These Terms of Service may be updated periodically. Clients will be notified of substantive changes via showroom notice, email, or official correspondence.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
